Reminder: project idea pitch until tomorrow
Hey everyone,
we are getting closer to kick-off.
Please remember that,
- even if you have already started working on your project idea and do not look for other team members, you need to indicate your project idea in this list. Only projects that have been communicated on this list, will enter the competition and will be judged.
So here's another quick reminder for your project idea pitch:
Here's how the project idea process goes:
- below, I inserted the link to a Google Form.
- if you have a project idea, head over to the form and fill in all necessary data
- idea pitches run until this Thursday, April 16th, 3.00 PM CEST
- your project idea will not be communicated publicly before the official event kick-off
- after the project idea pitches deadline, I will collect all ideas to put them in a Google spreadsheet
- I will provide each project with a unique ID number
- this ID number is important for all further event communication abot your project
- for example, every project ID will have its own Slack Channel with the associated project number
- right after the official kick-off session, I will send the link to the project list to everyone registered here on DevPost
- project idea managers are responsible for their project, team building and project management during the event
- once, everyone has received the project idea list, build your teams. You can do so via Slack in the associated project channel (starting with 1_ID-of-your-project) and by looking at all participants here on DevPost.
- even if you have already started working on your project idea and do not look for other team members, you need to indicate your project idea in this list. Only projects that have been communicated on this list, will enter the competition and will be judged.
When you have submitted a project idea, you are the project manager. Please commit to your project and lead the actions with your team.
Project Pitches
Here's the link to pitch your project idea: Google Form Project Idea Pitches
Make sure you describe your idea with as much detail as possible. Mention what kind of skills and experience you have and you are looking for in your project.
Please note that there will be participants who have never attended an (online) Hackathon before. Some of them will not be software developers but will have many other skills and experience that will be valuable for the success of your product.
Do not judge anyone who seems to lack this or that particular skill.
Be kind, fair and open-minded.
Adhere to the HR Hackathon Code of Conduct (details here, scroll to end of page).
The HR Hackathon online is the safe environment to test your idea even if you think it's completely wild.
Try it out.
Get familiar with the submissions requirements and judging criteria right here on DevPost.
Have fun, and invite your friends to sign up, too.
In case you haven't done so yet, please join our event Slack here.
Looking forward to e-meeting you all soon!
Kind regards from Strasbourg,
Eva
